History and Developments

Since taking over the distribution of the weekly newspapers, we have been continually developing the distribution network.

We have brought into effect the Fair Pay scheme, which has resulted in an increase in wages across the free delivery network and now includes a basic hourly rate for children below the age of 16 years, a regulation not yet covered by the National Minimum Wage.

The information regarding the distribution areas of the free newspapers that we were initially presented with needed significant updating. After liasing with our field Agents, it was agreed that in order to gain the correct, detailed information, we needed to re-map all the areas to which we distribute.

Due to the re-mapping we have undertaken, we can now bring our backchecking system into the office and conduct our checks over the telephone. We are working together with outside companies to ensure that all our address and telephone information is accurate.
